On Friday, Uddhav Thackeray announced Shiv Sena’s alliance with the Maratha outfit Sambhaji Bridage.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday announced the party’s alliance with Sambhaji Brigade, a Maratha outfit in Maharashtra. The development comes months after Eknath Shinde-led rebellion led to the fall of Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra.
While addressing a press conference, Uddhav Thackeray said that they need to come together to save Constitution and regional identity. We must bury those who are sowing seeds of division and rift between us, Uddhav Thackeray said.
He further asked, “Is BJP walking on the lines of RSS ideology is the question you should ask. Are they even following what Mohan Bhagwat ji has been preaching for last two to three years?”

Uddhav Thackeray claimed that Hindutva was the basis of the Shiv Sena’s alliance with the BJP.
“But we all have seen how BJP has drifted from their agenda. In such a scenario, what is wrong to join hands with a new strong partner who can stand firm with us in upcoming polls,” the former Maharashtra CM said.
When asked about multi-party alliance, Uddhav Thackeray said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had made alliance with bringing nearly thirty partners together.
