Raj Bawa, the grandson of Tarlochan Bawa - a member of the 1948 Olympic Gold-medal winning hockey team, was on fire as rattled the England batting unit after coming in as first-change bowler. The Punjab all-rounder picked up 2 wickets in as many balls, removing middle-order batters Will Luxton and George Bell cheaply. He first struck in his 3rd over getting the wicket of opener George Thomas who was putting on a show despite the English side losing opener Jacob Bethell and captain Tom Prest early to impressive left-arm seamer Ravi Kumar.
He then removed all-rounder Rehan Ahmed for 10 before coming back for his final spell to get the last English wicket that fell on Sunday. Notably, India became the first side to bowl England out in the U19 World Cup 2022 as Raj and Ravi shared 9 wickets between them.
