It has announced a national strategy that focuses on ‘prevention, interruption and dissuasion’
The U.S. government on Tuesday unveiled its “national strategy” to fight domestic terrorism, an issue that is a priority for President Joe Biden after the assault on Congress in January and the rise of white nationalist extremists. “Domestic violent extremists motivated by a range of ideologies pose an elevated threat to our country in 2021,” a senior administration official told mediapersons, speaking on condition of anonymity. “Racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, and specifically those who espouse the superiority of the white race and anti-government militia violent extremists, [pose] the most lethal threat,” the official said.More Related News
