Two persons, including a minor, drowned on Monday in Odisha in two separate incidents while taking a bath after Holi celebrations.

Two persons, including a minor, drowned on Monday in Odisha in two separate incidents while taking a bath after Holi celebrations. One of the deceased has been identified as Sumeet Meher, a Class 10 student hailing from Block Chhak in Sonepur town. Sumeet had accompanied his friends and relatives to a ghat under the Mahanadi bridge after Holi celebrations. Due to a strong current, Sumeet was swept away while he was taking a bath. All attempts to rescue him failed.
