Two dead, four in hospital including child, after multi-vehicle crash in Moncton

The New Brunswick RCMP says two people have died and four others are injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Moncton Sunday night.

Codiac Regional RCMP, along with firefighters and paramedics, responded to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 15 near the Dieppe Boulevard overpass around 5:28 p.m.
“We were told multiple vehicles, multiple injuries,” said Moncton Fire Deputy Chief Keith Guptill.
Police say the driver of the first vehicle, a 32-year-old woman from Moncton, N.B., was taken to hospital where she later died. The two passengers in her vehicle were taken to hospital with what police believed to be minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 43-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., was taken to hospital where he later died. Police say the two passengers in his vehicle were taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
Guptill said one of the victims was a child but couldn’t confirm their age.
“That child had been sent to the IWK in Halifax,” said Guptill.
