Twitter has failed to comply with law of land, Centre tells Delhi High Court

The Centre has informed the Delhi High Court that Twitter had failed to comply with the new IT rules. This comes a few days after filed an affidavit claiming it was in the process of appointing a grievance redressal officer and had complied with the IT rules.
The Centre on Monday told the Delhi High Court that Twitter had failed to comply with the new Information Technology Rules, which are law of the land. The Centre said Twitter was a “significant social media intermediary” which was obliged to comply with the IT Rules 2021. In its affidavit, the Centre said, “Twitter Inc failed to comply with new IT Rules, which are law of land and required to be complied with mandatorily.”More Related News
