Amitabh Bachchan stepped down as the face of a pan masala brand. Twitter hailed the veteran actor.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has withdrawn from an ad campaign for a pan masala brand and has even returned the money he received in lieu of it. Big B, who turned 79 today, October 11, had faced backlash for featuring in the ad earlier. Now, in a blog post, credited to "the office of Mr Amitabh Bachchan", Big B clarified that he is no longer associated with the promotions. Twitter, of course, is thrilled at the news.
