Tushar Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi’s great-grandson, hit out at Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut for mocking Bapu's mantra of ahimsa. He said, "Those who allege that Gandhians only turn the other cheek and are, therefore, cowards cannot understand the courage required to be so brave."
"Turning the other cheek requires more courage than Gandhi-haters can fathom," said Tushar Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi’s great-grandson, in reply to Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut who recently mocked Bapu's mantra of ahimsa.
After raking up a controversy by saying "Independence in 1947 was bheek [alms]', Kangana Ranaut targeted Mahatma Gandhi an a series of posts on Instagram and said "choose your heroes wisely". She said that offering another cheek gets you "bheek" not freedom.
