TTD officials find Rs 6.15 lakh cash, 25 kg coins at priest’s home in Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam officials seized a house after its occupant, a priest, died last year. Officials recovered two trunks filled with Rs 6.15 lakh cash and 25kg coins from the house.
Officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Monday found Rs 6.15 lakh cash and coins weighing 25 kg from a house allotted to a priest, who died last year, in Seshachala Nagar of Tirupati. Cash was found in two trunks inside the house of the priest who lived alone in house number 75 at Sheshachala colony in Tirupati town of Chittoor district, officials said. The staff of the vigilance department of the TTD, which manages the hill shrine atop Tirumala hills, said the deceased Srinivasulu was allotted a house in the locality and had been living there since 2008.More Related News
