The TTC has cancelled plans for a subway closure on Line 1, Yonge—University, during Victoria Day weekend.
Regular service is expected on Line 1 and Line 2 this weekend, the TTC said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Friday evening.
The closure was set to take place between St. Clair and Sheppard-Yonge stations on Saturday and Sunday for "station improvements, structural maintenance and track work," a TTC news release said on Thursday.
On Victoria Day, the TTC will operate on their Sunday schedule but will start earlier at 6 a.m.
The GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday.

Elizabeth May was in Halifax Saturday to support the Nova Scotia Green Party in the final days of the provincial election campaign. She criticized PC Leader Tim Houston for calling a snap election this fall after the Tories passed legislation in 2021 that gave Nova Scotia fixed election dates every four years.
