
TSX recap: Index closes largely unchanged despite strength in energy

Canada's main stock index ended the day largely unchanged as strength in the energy sector was offset by softness in other sectors, while U.S. markets rose.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index was down 5.14 points, or 0.03 per cent, at 20,188.19.
In New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 108.82 points at 33,153.91. The S&P 500 Index was up 21.27 points at 4,012.32, while the Nasdaq Composite was up 83.33 points at 11,590.40.
The Canadian dollar traded for 73.81 cents U.S. compared with 73.84 cents U.S. on Wednesday.
