Trying To Ensure Availability Of Oxygen To All Who Need: PM To Nation
NDTV
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a special address to the nation today, said the government is trying to meet the huge demand of oxygen as a number of states, including the national capital, sought help. Delhi, which is seeing an exponential rise in Covid cases, said most of its hospitals have supplies that would only last hours.
"There is a huge demand for oxygen. We are trying to ensure availability to all who need it," PM Modi told the country as a number of states struggled to ensure treatment to critical patients.
"For some weeks, the situation was in control. Now the second wave has come like a hurricane. I am aware of the hardships you are facing. I extend my condolences to those who have lost a loved one. The challenge is big but we must cross this with determination and preparedness," he added.
