
Truth and Reconciliation Day: What's open and closed on P.E.I.?

Canada commemorates the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Monday, Sept. 30.
The day calls on people to reflect on the history of residential schools and how their legacy impacts Indigenous people to this day.
The day has been a statutory holiday on P.E.I. since 2022, so it's best to call ahead if you're planning on heading out to a local business or service.
