Trump lawyers say request to have SCOTUS hear immunity claims presents ‘momentous, historic questions’

The legal team for former President Donald Trump has filed a response to a request by Special Counsel Jack Smith to have the Supreme Court review his case.
"This appeal presents momentous, historic questions," the brief states. "An erroneous denial of a claim of presidential immunity from criminal prosecution unquestionably warrants this Court’s review. The Special Counsel contends that "[i]t is of imperative public importance that respondent’s claims of immunity be resolved by this Court." Louis Casiano is a reporter for Fox News Digital.
