Truck carrying board exam papers catches fire on Nashik-Pune highway

A Pune-bound truck from Bhopal carrying HSC exam papers caught fire on the Nashik-Pune National Highway today. However, no deaths have been reported.
A truck carrying papers for the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations caught fire on the Nashik-Pune National Highway in Maharashtra on Wednesday morning. The truck was heading towards Pune from Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal when the vehicle caught fire. No casualties have been reported.
The driver of the truck jumped out of the vehicle after it caught fire and a police team visited the spot after the mishap. Police said that the mishap took place at around 6 am in the morning at Chandanapuri ghat in Ahmednagar district.
As soon as the news of the fire tragedy broke out, police officials rushed to the spot to inspect the crime scene.
Notably, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will conduct the HSC and SSC theory exams from March 4, 2022.
Superintendent of police Manoj Patil told TOI that police reached the spot to ascertain the reasons for the outbreak of the fire. He said that the accident took place at around 6 am in the morning at Chandanapuri ghat in Ahmednagar district.
Meanwhile, a team of the Maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary education also visited the mishap site. However, the tragedy would not affect the forthcoming exams in the state.
Sharad Gosavi, the board chairman, told TOI that the incident would not affect the forthcoming exams, refusing to give the kind of documents that got burnt in the fire.
