The TRS party and the AAP will not be attending the meeting of Opposition parties called by TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the upcoming Presidential polls.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be skipping the meeting of the opposition parties called by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the issue of the upcoming Presidential elections in the country.
According to sources, the TRS does not want to share a platform with the Congress. Meanwhile, the AAP said, "Will consider the issue only after the candidate for the upcoming Presidential election is declared."
Leaders of opposition parties are set to join a meeting called by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to formulate a joint strategy for the upcoming presidential polls.
On Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee landed in Delhi and met Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar at his residence. During the meet, Mamata Banerjee asked Sharad Pawar to be the opposition nominee for presidential polls. The NCP chief, however, declined the offer, saying that he wants to remain in active politics.
WHO ALL HAVE SIGNED UP FOR OPPOSITION MEET?

Non-BJP parties, including Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, were requested to attend the meeting.
Congress will participate in the Opposition meeting called by Mamata Banerjee. Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Jairam Ramesh and Randeep Surjewala may likely attend the meeting.
