Tripura High Court stays probe against TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, others till November 11 in Khowai incident

The Tripura High Court on Thursday stayed police investigation against against senior Trinamool Congress leaders, including party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, in connection with their visit at the Khowai police station in Khowai district on August 8.

The Tripura High Court on Thursday ordered an interim stay in the investigation against Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, MP Dola Sen, West Bengal minister Bratya Basu, and three others in connection with their visit at the Khowai police station in Tripura on August 8.

The suo-moto complaint alleges that the leaders blocked the police station and interfered in a police investigation.
