Tripura Ex-Royal's Meet With Himanta Biswa Sarma After Amit Shah's Call

The scion of the former Tripura royal family in a tweet yesterday said thatHome Minister Amit Shah has assured the appointment of an interlocutor on March 27.
Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, chief of Tipra Motha Party, met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma late last night in Delhi hours after the centre assured the appointment of an interlocutor over his party's demand for a separate state - 'Greater Tipraland'.Sources indicate they would be meeting Home Minister Amit Shah today to finalise the interlocutor over his demand for the "constitutional solution" for the indigenous people of Tripura.
The scion of the former Tripura royal family in a tweet yesterday said that Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the appointment of an interlocutor on March 27.
"Woke up to an early morning call from the hon home minister @AmitShah to enquire about my health. He also categorically assured me that by the by the 27th of this month an interlocutor will be announced for our talks regarding the constitutional solution for our indigenous people of Tripura. I hope the home minister will understand the sentiments of the tiprasa and honour the commitment he has given to me," Mr Debbarma said in a tweet.
His party Tipra Motha won 13 seats in the 60-member Tripura assembly in what was its debut electoral fight. The BJP won the February 16 election with 33 seats while the Left-Congress alliance secured 14 seats. Trinamool Congress failed to open its account.
