An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 struck parts of Uttarakhand a little after midnight on Monday. The National Center for Seismology has traced the epicentre back to Chamoli district.
An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter Scale originated 44 km north-northwest of Joshimath in Uttarkhand's Chamoli district at 12.31 am on Monday. Tremors were felt in parts of the state, including in the districts of Dehradun and Garhwal. The National Center for Seismology has reviewed and confirmed reports of the earthquake. According to the NCS, the epicentre was 22 km deep at 30.94 (latitude) - 79.44 (longitude). More details are awaited as this is a developing story.More Related News
