Travellers advised caution on carrying medicines to Qatar: Indian Embassy

Doha: Indian Embassy in Qatar has issued a travel advisory on carrying medicines to the country, warning residents to be cautious while doing so.
It is prohibited to carry medicines which contain narcotics or psychotropic substances while arriving in the country, the embassy stated. These include medicines like Lyrica, Tramadol, Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), Zolam, Clonazepam, Zolpidem, Codeine, Methadone, Pregabalin. The full list of prohibited medicines can be accessed on the Indian Embassy website here. Carrying prohibited medicines to Qatar can lead to arrest and jail sentences. It warned residents of carrying medicines for friends and family.More Related News
