
Traffic jam on Hyderabad roads will be cleared in half-an-hour: officials to in-charge Minister

The spell of rain in Hyderabad on Thursday (April 3, 2025) led to traffic jams in some parts of the city. Officials informed Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar that the issue on arterial roads of the city would be cleared in half-an-hour. A tree crashed in Irram Manzil, which is being removed by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) teams and others, according to a press note issued late in the afternoon.
The Minister directed officials in the six zones of GHMC to be on alert. He has asked waterlogging points near the State Secretariat, Raj Bhavan road, Masab Tank and other localities to be cleared.
Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri along with 16 more districts were under yellow alert (Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds) issued by India Meteorological Department for Thursday.
