As part of the traffic inspection campaign to control violations throughout the holy month of Ramadan, the General Directorate of Traffic announced the seizure of about 350 vehicles for committing several violations. The campaign aims to reduce traffic accidents and wrong traffic behaviors, as well as strengthen road safety requirements to preserve lives and property. Assistant Head of the Investigation Department Captain Mohammed Safar Al Kuwari explained that the General Directorate of Traffic has annually organized this campaign during Ramadan to control the most common and dangerous violations of road users, indicating that the campaign continues until the end of the holy month. Al Kuwari stated that the traffic campaign targets all areas in the country, with the participation of military and civilian patrols, stressing that the Department will not tolerate the perpetrators of these violations that endanger the lives of the drivers and all road users. He also added that the traffic patrols are working to ensure that road users apply all preventive measures approved by the relevant authorities in the country to limit the spread of Covid-19, indicating that the most prominent violations that have been seized are: reckless driving, excessive speed, car races, complete concealment, sound, and other violations, pointing out that the Department has transferred drivers of violating vehicles to the competent authorities to take legal action against them. The Assistant Head of the Investigation Department stressed that the Department is working around the clock to receive complaints and reports from the public, calling on everyone to immediately report any wrong traffic behavior. The General Directorate of Traffic calls on all motorists and road users to adhere to the traffic law, to be careful, especially in residential areas, and to stay away from wrong traffic behaviors that negatively affect public safety.More Related News
