A new trailer of Tom Cruise-starrer Top Gun: Maverick is finally out now! The film is all set to premiere at Cannes Film Festival in May 2022.
A brand new trailer of Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick is finally out now. The film is a long-pending sequel to the 1986 action movie, Top Gun. Tom played the protagonist in the 1986 film, where he featured as Pete Maverick Mitchell. In its sequel, the actor yet again returns to the centre stage as a trainer. The film will also be premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2022.
Tom Cruise is back with another adventurous tale, Top Gun: Maverick. The film is a sequel to the 1986 superhit film, Top Gun. Sharing a brand new trailer, Tom wrote on Twitter, “The new trailer for #TopGun is here. See you at the theater (sic).” Furthermore, production house Paramount Pictures unveiled the new trailer of Top Gun: Maverick with an official synopsis of the film. It can be read, “After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.”
Further adding, “When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.” Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.” The film releases in theatres on May 27.

In yet another big achievement for Tom, Cannes has confirmed Top Gun: Maverick’s screening at the film festival. A note on Cannes’ official website can be read, “Tom Cruise will be in attendance in Cannes on May 18, 2022, for the screening of Top Gun: Maverick, scheduled for release on May 25 in France and May 27 in the US. The Festival will also pay a special tribute to Tom Cruise for his career.”
