Tom Cotton asked whether 'Nazi' remark about Judge Jackson went 'too far'
Fox News
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., was asked Wednesday on "America Reports" about comparing Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's defense of Guantanamo Bay terrorists to defending Nazis.
"You know, the last Judge Jackson left the Supreme Court to go to Nuremberg and prosecute the Nazis. This Judge Jackson may have gone there to defend them," said Cotton, referring to former Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson who prosecuted Nazis at Nuremberg after World War II.
Cotton told host John Roberts that Jackson advocated on behalf of Guantanamo Bay terrorists during her career as a public defender, and she accused American soldiers of committing war crimes.
