Ahead of the crucial vote on the no-confidence motion against him, Pakistan PM Imran Khan tweeted that he was fighting against 'treason' and 'falsehood'.
With only hours to go before the National Assembly of Pakistan votes on the no-confidence motion against him, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter to emphasise that he was on the side of "truth and patriotism" while his opponents represented "falsehood and treason".
On Saturday night, he wrote, "Today, we are fighting for truth and patriotism against falsehood and treason."

Further, he compared his battle for survival with that of Hussain ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, who was outnumbered and killed by an army sent by Umayyad caliph Yazid I in Karbala. The battle has a central place in Islamic history and tradition and has come to symbolise sacrifice in the struggle for right against wrong.
In his tweet, Imran Khan wrote, "In Karbala, facing an enemy that far outnumbered them, Imam Hussain AS, his family and followers laid down their lives to show people the difference between Haq (right/truth) and Baatil (falsehood)."
