IPL 2022, LSG vs DC: Delhi Capitals, who are looking to return to winning ways, will be bolstered by the availability of David Warner and Anrich Nortje as they look to stop Lucknow Super Giants' winning run in the new season.
Delhi Capitals will be looking to return to winning ways when they face in-form Lucknow Super Giants in Match 15 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. Delhi began their IPL 2022 season on a high, beating 5-time champions Mumbai Indians but they slipped in their next encounter against newbies Gujarat Titans.
Lucknow Super Giants, another newbie in IPL 2022, are set to offer Delhi another tough challenge as KL Rahul's men have been on a 2-match winning run after losing their opener to Gujarat.
It will be an interesting duel between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, who are being looked at as future leaders of the senior national team and the two stars will be looking to outwit each other.
For Pant and Delhi Capitals, the availability of David Warner and Anrich Nortjte is a huge boost. Delhi played only 3 overseas players and Warner will slot straight into their XI, replacing Tim Seifert. Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed is likely to make way for Nortje who is returning after a lengthy injury lay-off.
Delhi Capitals: The former finalists began on a good note, hammering Mumbai Indians in their opening game but their batting woes were exposed by Gujarat Titans. A quickfire 40 from Rishabh Pant was not enough as Gujarat's Lockie Ferguson picked up 4 wickets to skittle the chase.
Delhi have been struggling because of their misfiring top-order but the return of Warner will be a big boost to them.
Lucknow Super Giants: LSG began with a defeat to Gujarat Titans but they bounced back with wins over CSK and SRH. While Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul and Evin Lewis fired in their 211-run chase against CSK, Avesh Khan was brilliant with the ball as they defended 169 against SRH.
