Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's video of asking people to replace brinjals with pumpkin has gone viral.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina caught the attention of netizens for a rather funny comment during a speech. While addressing the sudden hike in prices of essential commodities during a Parliament session, Hasina said, “You can use other vegetables that are readily available to cook Beguni. We do so. Beguni can be made with pumpkin and we do it.”
The comment left netizens giggling and posts pointing out the quote flooded Twitter. For those who are unaware, Beguni is a kind of fritter made from brinjals or eggplant and is a common snack in Bangladesh and West Bengal. Many were confused as to how one should make Beguni with a completely different vegetable.
