
TMC's Abhishek Banerjee bats for no elections amid third wave, says its 'personal opinion'

Trinamool Congress (TMC) general secretary Abhishek Banerjee proposed that no elections be held in the third wave, citing his "personal opinion."
Ahead of the announcement dates for Assembly elections in Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, Trinamool Congress (TMC) general secretary Abhishek Banerjee said on Saturday that no elections should be held in the middle of the third wave of Covid-19.
"If you want my personal opinion, I believe that all religious events and political campaigns should be halted for the next two months," TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee said.
