TMC MLA Jayanta Naskar dies after testing negative for Covid-19 in Kolkata

Trinamool Congress MLA Jayanta Naskar, who tested negative for Covid-19, died on Saturday at a hospital in Kolkata.

Trinamool Congress MLA Jayanta Naskar died at a hospital in the state capital on Saturday. He had tested positive for Covid-19 in May, however, the legislator had tested negative for the disease on Friday. The 73-year-old three-term MLA from Gosaba died at 8.20 pm. According to a health department official, the Gosaba MLA was initially treated at the state-run MR Bangur Hospital before being transferred to the private medical facility a few days ago due to comorbidities.
