
TMC launches campaign for Goa polls; Babul Supriyo, Mahua Moitra, others meet kin of deceased teen Siddhi Naik

Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday launched its campaign for 2022 Goa assembly election. TMC delegation including Babul Supriyo, Sougata Roy and Mahua Moitra, who were in Goa for the campaign, met the family members of 19-year-old Siddhi Naik, who was found dead earlier, to extend support on behalf of the party.
Days before West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is slated to visit Goa, her party Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday launched its campaign for the 2022 assembly election in the state.
The TMC termed its campaign as the 'people's chargesheet' and hit out at the previous governments in Goa while calling it "20 years of political instability, misrule and suffering of the people". In its campaign, the TMC touched upon issues including poor economy, infrastructure, suspended mining healthcare, education and environmental.
