TMC alleges cover up in Prayagraj killings, writes to National Human Rights Commission

The TMC fact-finding delegation alleged a cover up in the killing of five family members in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. It sought an appointment with NHRC.
The fact-finding delegation of the Trinamool Congress wrote to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) seeking an urgent appointment with them in connection to the killing of five family members in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.
The TMC had sent a delegation led by MP Dola Sen and comprising former MP Mamata Bala Thakur, MLA Jyotsna Mandi, Saket Gokhale, and Lalitesh Tripathi to Praygraj on Sunday.
They claimed that the family members of the deceased had flagged several gruesome details to Prayagraj police. They alleged that these details were missing in the FIR.
The TMC delegation sought an appointment with the National Human Rights Commission in the next 48 hours.
On April 22, five members of a family were killed with sharp-edged weapons in Khevraj pur village of Barabanki district in UP.
The victims were identified as Rajkumar Yadav (55), Rajkumar's daughter Manisha (25), Rajkumar's wife Kusum (50), Rajkumar's daughter-in-law Savita (30), and Rajkumar's granddaughter Mitakshi (2).
As per the preliminary report, all five dead people had head injuries. It is alleged that the family members were murdered and later their house was set on fire.
