Cadets from NCC Group headquarters, Tirupati, delivered a stellar performance at the equestrian championship conducted as part of the Republic Day parade in New Delhi recently.
While cadets from across the country participated in the series of events, three members of the Tirupati group bagged medals in various categories.

“The cadets participated with the skilled horses Roman flame, Good luck and Gagan, whose agility and prowess on the field also played a crucial role in their success”, said the Commanding Officer Lt. Their success inspires future participation of cadets to aim for excellence in such equestrian competitive events, he added.

The Socio Economic and Educational Survey (caste census) report, accepted by the Karnataka government on Friday, has proposed an increase in reservation to other backward classes (OBCs) from the existing 32% to 51 %. This would result in total reservation in the State going up to 85%, including 10% to the economically weaker sections (EWS) and 24% to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
