Time is now for dynamic Garrett Wilson-Davante Adams duo to take Jets to new heights
NY Post
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Aaron Rodgers will be greeted with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s on Sunday, ideal conditions for him to sling the football around at State Farm Stadium to Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams when the Jets attempt their desperate run to end their ghastly 13-year playoff drought.
The signs were there for all to see last Thursday at MetLife Stadium, when Wilson did his Odell Beckham Jr. thing and Adams reprised his magical old Green Bay connection with Rodgers in the second half against the Texans.
It took Adams until his third game back together with Rodgers to remind the football world of the kind of telepathy they have and impact he can still make, and offer evidence for the first time what a dynamic duo he and Wilson can be with a win-now season on the line each week.
Breece Hall considers Adams and Wilson the best WR duo in the league.
“Because they’re both No. 1 receivers,” Hall told The Post. “It helps the offense so much ’cause defenses have to account for them so much and it opens up the run game, and it’s kind of a pick-your-poison, whether you want us to sit there and run the ball or whether you want us to pass the ball. That’s what makes them the best, because they require so much attention.”
Sauce Gardner was asked if he considers Adams and Wilson the best WR duo.
