Tiger Shroff has opened up about auditoning for Spider-Man. The actor revealed how the makers of the film reacted.
Tiger Shroff made his big Bollywood debut with Heropanti. After doing several Hindi movies, the actor has carved a niche for himself as an action hero in the industry. Known for his chiseled physique and action-packed stunts in the films, Tiger impressed the movie-goers. In his recent interview, Shroff made a big revelation. The actor revealed that he had auditioned for the Hollywood movie, Spider-Man. And the makers of the film were quite impressed by it.
In an interview with Connect FM, Tiger Shroff spoke about auditioning for Spider-Man and his Hollywood ambitions. "I had auditioned for Spider-Man, I had sent them my tapes, and they were quite impressed. My pitch to them was that I’d save you a lot of money on your VFX because I can do most of what Spider-Man can do. I was quite close to being a part of that," he said.
The actor further opened up about his Hollywood aspirations as he added, "I’ve had the privilege of meeting a lot of esteemed people from there, and they seem to be very interested in what I do. Ever since Jackie Chan, there hasn’t been a crossover action hero, per se, in this space at least. I don’t think there’s anybody in my age category right now, in terms of the action hero genre."
The actor will be seen with his Heropanti co-star Kriti Sanon in Ganapath, directed by Vikas Bahl. Post that, he has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay Kumar lined up. Ali Abbas Zafar has worked on the script of BMCM. Apart from these films, Tiger announced a new film, Screw Dheela, which will be directed by Shashank Khaitan.
