As per the IMD, the conditions are favourable for the formation of thunderclouds over Jharkhand and adjoining areas, with the clouds likely to move eastward, further triggering rain in Kolkata.
As per the prediction by the IMD, after the longest pre-monsoon dry spell in 16 years, the dry spell is nearing its end in Kolkata in the form of rain, which is expected in the next few days.
The condition is favourable as there is a chance of the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand.
