Three weeks after a gunman opened fire at a San Jose public transit rail yard and killed nine people, officials in the Northern California city passed a law requiring retailers to videotape all gun purchases.
The San Jose City Council passed the ordinance in an unanimous vote Tuesday night in efforts to discourage straw purchasing -- when someone buys a gun for another person who is legally ineligible to buy one.More Related News
