Three days after KK's death, first big event held at same Kolkata auditorium

Nazrul Manch, the auditorium in Kolkata where singer KK gave his last performance, saw it's first big event since the incident. The authorities kept all arrangements in check to prevent any mishap.
Almost three days after KK's final performance at Nazrul Manch, the auditorium saw its first big-ticket event with singer Anupam Roy's performance on Friday.
Roy and his band members performed at the annual fest of The Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management (CIEM). However, all went well, unlike the last show with KK who performed at Nazrul Mancha auditorium in South Kolkata on May 31 and was taken back to his hotel where he collapsed. He was thereafter taken to CMRI Hospital but declared brought dead.
Taking a lesson from the last tragic event, the college authorities made sure that the venue was not overcrowded. The total capacity of the auditorium is 2400. However, only 2000 tickets were rolled out for college students and officials only.
Only 1300 seats were filled during the event as entry was entirely restricted to the college students and professors of CIEM only.
A total of three ambulances were on standby with one being equipped with ICU facilities and a doctor was kept on board as well. Police were also deployed to prevent any May 31-like incident.
