An unsigned letter with the message “tumhara Moose Wala kar denge (you will end up like Moose Wala), allegedly addressed to actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan, was found at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand promenade.
The letter was spotted by Salim Khan's guards where the veteran screenwriter usually sits after his morning walk. The police have registered an FIR.
Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa village last week allegedly by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang had threatened Salman Khan in 2018 when the blackbuck poaching case was in court.

The gangster, currently in Delhi’s Tihar Jail after being charged under the Arms Act, had threatened to kill Salman Khan in Jodhpur. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community.
There were reports of Salman Khan’s security being beefed up after Moose Wala’s murder. But the Mumbai Police rubbished them, saying the actor continues to get security cover like before in line with the threat perception.
However, the city police will likely tighten security around Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where the actor and his family stay, after the letter with references to Moose Wala's killing.
