Directed by Mithran Jawahar, the heartwarming film also stars Raashii Khanna, Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Prakash Raj. The film will release in theatres on August 18.
Dhanush shared the trailer of Thiruchitrambalam on Twitter. He captioned it, "A glimpse into Pazham's life. #Thiruchitrambalamtrailer out now (sic)." The film is touted to be a commercial entertainer with music composed by Anirudh Ravi

Dhanush plays the titular character in Thiruchitrambalam. He is a food delivery guy in the film, who doesn't get along with his father, who is a cop. Prakash Raj plays Dhanush's father. Dhanush, who was seen doing an action-packed role in Gray Man, will be seen doing comedy in Thiruchitrambalam. While Nithya Menen is his childhood friend, Raashi Khanna plays his love interest in the film.
Thiruchitrambalam is Dhanush and Mithran Jawahar. The actor and director had earlier collaborated for Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran.
