From food festivals and a dark history tour, to flower arranging and a book fair, there's something for everyone in Hamilton this weekend.
Prepare your taste buds rib lovers. The Northern Heat Ancaster Rib & Beer Festival is back in town this weekend. Starting on Friday until Sunday, those visiting will be able to enjoy food and music at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.
This ribfest will run from 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 12 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $2 for those 13 and older.
Want more food from a truck? You might want to add a trip to the Spencer Smith Park to your to-do list this weekend. With over 30 food trucks, the Burlington Food Truck Festival will offer eating challenges, a tribute to The Tragically Hip, Pearl Jam and more.
Admission to the food truck festival is free. It will run on Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 12 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 8 p.m.
Even though the Fringe Festival has already started in Hamilton, this weekend promises something for everyone.
A drag tribute, a live performance about periods, and many other events are in store for this year's Hamilton Fringe Festival, which runs from July 19 to 30.
Have you ever wondered what are Hamilton's strangest and darkest stories? This Dark History Tour aims to teach some of them by walking through Hamilton's downtown core, visiting abandoned locations with an interesting history.
The tour is approximately 90 minutes long and it starts at two times at 7:30 and 8 p.m on Friday. Tickets for adults are $15.
Football fans can also catch a Ticats game as they face the Toronto Argonauts on Friday. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Tim Hortons Field.
Families can make a visit to almost any Hamilton Public Library branch this weekend and find something going on.
A reading skills group in the central library, patio play in Ancaster, adult storytime at Valley Park, a family storytime at Westdale, or a knitting and crochet group in Binbrook, there's virtually something for everyone at HPL this weekend.
The Summer Concert Series continues in Hamilton this weekend. This time, the free event goes to the Waterdown Memorial Hall to feature Toronto's Luckystickz at 2 p.m. and local jazz group Solstice Trio at 3 p.m.
Music continues at 7 p.m. with the BIPOC hArt Music Series, as four artists from the Greater Hamilton Area perform at the Main Stage Rehearsal Studios on King Street.
