The hours of operation at 10 Quebec border crossings will change as of 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2025.
The hours of operation at 10 border crossings in Quebec will change tomorrow.
Starting Monday, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will alter the hours of operations at 35 points of entry across the country to “enhance overall security for both countries.”
The CBSA announced the change in November.
The CBSA said it will now be able to deploy its officers at busier points and process travellers and goods better.
The U.S. will also adjust its service hours across the country.
For Quebec, the border crossings that will be affected can be seen on this map:
“These adjustments are based on an analysis of operational pressures, peak periods, and services required at the ports of entry, to minimize the impacts on border communities,” the CBSA said. “Almost all of these ports of entry are processing an average of two or less cars or commercial trucks per hour during the hours that will no longer be in operation, and travellers have an alternative border crossing option within a 100 km radius.”
