BJP national general secretary (organisation) B. L. Santhosh claims that there is ‘more than what meets the eye’ in the surrender of six Maoists in Karnataka. He suspects that internecine acrimony among Left groups led to an encounter and the surrender of six Naxals.
Taking to social media platform X, Mr. Santhosh pointed out that the surrender of six Naxals in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah happened after a few days after the encounter of a Naxalite Vikram Gowda.
“All who understand the process (for surrendering)... it takes months to establish contact , decide mediators ( usually like-minded Left anarchists), engage, convince and then arrange for surrender. Vikram Gowda was killed in an encounter in between this process. Only higher-ups in the government can answer whether internecine acrimony among the Left groups led to one encounter and several surrenders,” he claimed.
“If that is true, then the integrity of the process is questionable,” he added.
