There can be more turmoil in Afghanistan: General Bipin Rawat
India Today
Speaking at an event on “Towards Progressive Defence Reforms”, General Bipin Rawat said only time will tell what is going to happen in Afghanistan, as there can be more turmoil in the future.
Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat said that a weaker adversary like Pakistan will always try to engage India. He added that Pakistan is a proxy of China, which is India's adversary on the Northern border.
"Now, we are looking at creating a theatre command to look after Pakistan. At present, four Army and three Air Force commands are looking after Pakistan. Then in the east, we have Central Air Command in Allahabad. There are 17 commands responsible for coordinating against two fronts," he said.
