A video of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee grilling a party worker over his bulging belly is going viral on social media.
A hilarious back-and-forth ensued when West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee pulled up a party worker over his bulging belly. A video of the Trinamool Congress supremo grilling municipal chairperson Suresh Agrawal about his workout routine and eating habits is going viral on social media.
“The way your belly is growing, you will collapse any day... How can you have such a big Madhya Pradesh?” Banerjee asked, using the state name as a pun on the middle section or tummy.
Agrawal, who seemed unfazed by the body shaming, said he exercised daily but has a fondness for pakoris and consumes them every morning. A disapproving Mamata Banerjee said he would never lose weight if he eats pakoris daily.
When the rotund municipal chairperson claimed that he did not suffer from high blood pressure or diabetes despite weighing 125 kg, an incredulous Mamata Banerjee said, “Then you must have liver issues!”
She then proceeded to ask him what exercises he does. Agrawal replied that he does pranayam and 1,000 kapalbhatis every day. Refusing to believe him, Banerjee demands him to demonstrate his fitness by doing 1,000 kapalbhatis right then and there.
“If you do a thousand kapalbhatis in front of me, I will give you Rs 10,000 on the spot,” she declared.
Agrawal protested, saying one is only supposed to do kapalbhati early in the morning or after 5 pm, and therefore he wouldn’t be able to show her.
