Ryan Whyte Maloney, best known for competing on “The Voice” Season 6, has died. He was 44.
The singer died by suicide, according to the coroner in Clark County, Nevada, who confirmed the news to People on Tuesday. The cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to the head, per the report.
The Post reached out to the medical examiner but did not immediately hear back.
Whyte Maloney was active on social media right before his tragic death. He posted a video on his Instagram story on Monday, which appeared to be filmed at a bar.
“Nine fine Irishmen for a private party tonight, and we will be rocking,” he said in the video while holding a rock hand gesture.
The musician appeared on “The Voice” in 2014 during the same season as Morgan Wallen.
