Netflix's spy drama series The Recruit returns with a thrilling second season, following CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks in dangerous missions.
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the second season of its spy drama series The Recruit, set to premiere on January 30. The show follows Owen Hendricks, played by Noah Centineo, a young CIA lawyer navigating dangerous international conflicts and internal agency betrayals.
The new season picks up with Hendricks embroiled in a perilous espionage mission in South Korea. According to the logline, he soon discovers that the most significant threats may come from within the CIA itself. Season one ended with a dramatic twist, as Hendricks witnessed Max (Laura Haddock) being shot by her daughter, Nitchka, aka Karolina (Maddie Hasson).
Showrunner Alexi Hawley teased that the second season raises the stakes for Hendricks, describing his predicament as “screwed.” Maddie Hasson also shared insights into her character’s return, hinting at continued conflict. “I think you can expect that she makes his life a living hell,” Hasson said in an interview.
The series, created by Hawley, features a cast that includes Teo Yoo, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Kristian Bruun, Kaylah Zander, and Vondie Curtis-Hall. Centineo, who rose to prominence with To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, serves as both lead actor and executive producer.
