The endorsement of homelessness as a way of life is unfair to both those living on the street and the rest of society. The lifespan of a homeless person is only 48 years.
A person who "chooses" street living, instead of shelter or hospitalization, is exposed to hypothermia, disease and crime. On average, a homeless person survives only to age 48, losing 30 years of a normal lifespan.
