The IWK Telethon for Children marks 40 years this weekend.
The hospital’s largest fundraiser takes place on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On Sunday, tune in to see the traditional IWK Telethon for Children format, featuring stories from patients and families who recieved specialized care at the IWK, as well as highlights from donors throughout the past four decades.
The IWK Telethon for Children joined forced with the IWK Radiothon for the first time ever this year, launching the Weekend of Giving. Events began on Friday with the IWK Radiothon raising around $254,015 in support of the IWK.
The telethon will air on CTV and livestream on CTVAtlantic.ca and the CTV app.
