The conversation around photoshop gained momentum when a Reddit user placed the picture shared by Alia next to the original image with a Getty Images watermark
Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has been the cynosure of all eyes for the past few days. The reason – the actress is in Seoul, Korea attending the Gucci Cruise 2024 show in the capacity of a global brand ambassador. Each of Alia Bhatt's looks at the event have been analysed and dissected on social media. After the star was spotted carrying a transparent and very empty bag to the event, Alia was trolled on social media. In response, the star shared a bunch of images from the cruise show with a very clear note: “Yes, the bag was empty.” But it is not the caption that has the internet talking. One of the pictures shared in the carousel has come under the lens of some users who think it has been photoshopped.
The image in question features Alia Bhatt alongside Hollywood star Dakota Johnson and South Korean singer-songwriter IU.
The conversation around photoshop gained momentum when a Reddit user placed the picture shared by Alia Bhatt next to the original image with a Getty Images watermark. In the caption the user pointed out differences in Alia's face, leg and arm and said, “Original vs Photoshopped pic posted by Alia. Check the changes in the face, arm shape and legs - the bench line is curved near her leg which is a clear indication of photoshop.”
Several users seconded the observation and shared their own thoughts. One user said, “There is visible distortion in the seat area and in the centre-right background around her waist. There also appears to be smoothening of the legs and the neck. The problem, for me, is not that Alia's post is photoshopped. That is not uncommon amongst celebrities. The primary issue, for me, is that photoshop is poorly done. It does not help elevate the outfit, which is already marred by styling issues. There is also the irony that Alia has posted about body positivity but then turns around and photoshops for posts.”
