India Today
17-year-old Shafali Verma is likely to play for the Birmingham Pheonix in the inaugural edition of The Hundred and for Sydney Sixers in the women's Big Bash League T20.
Teenage sensation Shafali Verma is set to become the fifth Indian female cricketer to feature in the inaugural edition of The Hundred in England later this year. Verma is going to replace New Zealand's Sophie Devine in the Birmingham Pheonix team, according to reports. Verma will join the likes of Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma in the 8-team tournament from July 21. Harmanpreet, Mandhana, Deepti and Jemimah Rodrigues took part in the now-defunct Kia Super League (KSL) in 2019, the England cricket board's domestic T20 tournament that made way for The Hundred.More Related News
